seventeen years plus BBQ Today's BBQ was making up for the one canceled yesterday. And truthfully, it was a lot of fun - especially seeing my cousins again. They've grown so much since the last time I saw them. However, they still kept their cuteness. I think that a little kid's childish nature is the cutest when they are able to express that naturally. But little kids have the tiniest worries in their little minds, that's what makes their laughs and smiles so unique and natural - and beautiful.
(TOP is kael, BOTTOM is Colin) Aren't they the cutest kids?! Seriously, Kael looks like a Taeyang, no joke. lOL.
They never ceased to make me smile with their silly words and actions. The playful side of them reminds me of me when I was young. Their innocence always gives me a sense of happiness and warmth.
And Nicky tries to act cool all the time. But we can't blame him for being so cute and handsome. Haha!
Who can resist getting into the pool on such a hot day?! Look at all them sexy boys! They are all so adorable!
If I were to contribute my love for them, it would make the entry insanely longer than it already is. Anyhow, we had BBQ chicken, sausage, beef, and corn. At night, we played Wii while munching on a drumstick ice cream bar, coke, water, and pineapples. (Really, I'm a total freak when it comes to food. Haha!)
And a little love for my nature animals? Hahaa! They were in my cousin's fish tank hehe.

HAPPY 17TH BIRTHDAY, LILA-CHAN! Another year passed and you're growing more mature and beautiful everyday. I hope that you treasure all your blessings and wishes. Like others say, count your blessings, not your candles. The feeling of growing up is overwhelming, and life will encounter even more responsibilities that come into hand when time is right. We can no longer depend on others to hold our hands in case we fall, nor lead us across the street. It's time to lay aside our childish side - but it won't hurt to keep childish memories with us. Once again, have a great birthday! (Haha, bowling was fun!)
Need I say more? Haha! It's true, bowling is a lot more fun when we suck at it haha. I regret not using flash and therefore, failed as a photographer-wanna-be. But regret does not pity, and so, I just need to learn and improve. Yay!

HAPPY JULY 4th! Hurray for Independence Day! Sorry for the crappy animation/drawing & lacking border lines. I haven't touched Photoshop for the longest time, so bear with me.
It's a surprise that it would rain on July 4th. I heard fireworks, but it was a disappointment not seeing them in person. Many people went to the taste, and I saw pictures of the lovely fireworks. (eez jealous!) I remember one year, they had smiley fireworks. I was very much amused by the flickering color lights and sparks as they fade away into the night sky - perhaps into another universe hehe.
For lunch, my mom made bread with sausage & cheese on top! She's such a wonderful cook! She also made us cantaloupe smoothie drinks. YUMMM~
Unfortunately, because of the rain, our BBQ got moved to tomorrow. So much for preparing for today haha.
Sharon and I have been bumming around at home like usual. My parents went grocery shopping for the BBQ tomorrow. Sharon - obsessed with Big Bang songs - and I - went crazy drawing & browsing online Chinese blogs. (They have the cutest comics & life stories! (EEZ SUCH A FAN AT THE MOMENT!)
After my parents' shopping, they came home and gave me google eyes. I found them amusing - but everything amuses me.. well almost. It's funny how they just randomly bought google eyes for me. As if I need them.. lOL Maybe to stick them on during class, just in case i fall asleep. If so, I'm going to run through bags and bags of them.
Happy Independence Day! I end shortly because of a schedule change. I'll post more pictures tomorrow!

unforgotten day. Today has been a heck of a day. Aside from learning the Cha Cha and Latin dance with our boy partners, we finally started learning the Chinese dance: 桃夭[click to watch]. It's been so long since I've danced long sleeves. For the time being, I'm just worried about doing the Cha Cha dance since my legs refuse to cooperate with me. (NUUUUU~ ) Anyhow, I will "add oil". After the long leadership training, where we were supposedly researching, but instead were fooling around, Shirley, Sharon, and I met up with Megan to head to Pingtom Park. It was a rather nice day, despite the heavy clouds and whatnots. Megan was attracted to this pink flower that we spotted on the way. I think it's Hibiscus. (Haha thank you, Megan!) Haha she's so silly, I love her.
Then I wandered off to my natural habit, where I take snapshots of the wonderful nature around me. I can't remember anymore how many times I wanted to cry out of happiness - Mother nature is just too overwhelming.
It's rather funny how such simple nature just attracts me like a strong magnet. Wherever I go, they always seem to envelope in me in some sort of welcoming and loving way. Nature has its way of making everything so small, so beautiful and calming - much like a fairytale - where it can take you to a world beyond troubles and worries.
I enjoy the fact that flowers seem to have their way of making peace with one another. Unlike humans, they always seem to get along with each other pretty well. Rather than hiding, they strive for us to notice them. Their beauty will not be forgotten. If passerby only stops for a few seconds, to inhale the scent of their innocence, I'm sure that even flowers can make their day.
Princesses in waiting. I don't know the names of these beauties, but from far away, they look like little puffs of clouds. (So KYOOOTT~ ) When I look at them, I just want to cry out in happiness. Hehee~
This was a rather interesting flower. I don't know what it is, but its uniqueness attracts me. I love how these tiny miracles amuse me to no extent. They are a gift from heavens - perhaps also blessings - that bring happiness to us. Or maybe just me, but.. eez kind of cool.
Tiny tinkerbells in a land of paradise - oh how I admire them. I love the way they sway together in a quick breeze, like silent dancing ballerinas gone unnoticed. Doesn't looking at it give you a sense of freedom and relaxation?
What disturbs me the most is how people smoke and leave their cigarette butts on the floor. I can understand that some people can't quit smoking, but leaving their butts next to such innocent nature should be avoided.
We resumed our walk in the park and started swinging. Haha! I was swinging for awhile, but then decided that taking pictures do not require a preparation of heart. lOL! (Truthfully, I got scared because I was swinging so high.) I'm such a coward with a fear of heights. But for some odd reasons, I love flying - a sense of freedom.
This was a rather interesting flower we saw on our way out of the park. Though the sharp edges look frightening, it's actually quite fragile in comparison to humans. Does anyone know the name for this flower? It will be most helpful.
So we left for Joy Yee for my mango tapioca drink. I was so thirsty haha. No picture of it. But we stopped by the Joy Yee sushi place that's going to be opening soon. (HOPEFULLY!) I definitely want to eat here. Look at the sushi!
So yummy looking! Inside, they have a glass/plastic floor with goldfish swimming underneath it! I eez excited!
Then we stopped by Walgreens to look at food haha! More like looking and drooling over chocolates and candies while waiting for Megan’s mom to pick us up!
